Seef District, Bahrain – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited Youth City 2030 on an occasion hailed as a historic and inspirational moment, reflecting royal confidence in Bahraini youth and their central role in national development.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; H.E. Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; H.E. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs; and senior officials overseeing Youth City 2030.
During the visit, members of Lamea Association had the honor of meeting His Majesty and the accompanying officials, where they highlighted the Association’s role as Bahrain’s flagship national platform to discover, upskill, and spotlight elite youth talent. Their engagement reflected the importance of civil society participation in advancing national efforts to nurture future leaders and sustain progress.
Particular attention during the visit was drawn to Lamea Junior, a program introduced by the Association within the framework of Youth City 2030. Designed for participants aged 12 to 15, the program reflects the ethos of the National Project Lamea for a younger audience. Through structured training activities focused on leadership, teamwork, and essential life skills, Lamea Junior equips young Bahrainis with the tools and confidence to contribute meaningfully to society.
