Seef District, BahrainHer Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the National Project Lamea, which represents a renewed milestone in the journey of empowering young talents and embodies the inspiring vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to invest in Bahraini youth as the nation’s real assets and the main driver of the future.

Her Excellency the Minister of Youth Affairs highlighted that the sixth edition of Lamea comes in an enhanced form that aligns with the aspirations of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, by raising the level of challenges presented to participants and keeping pace with the rapid transformations in capacity-building, particularly in the use of modern technologies and the strengthening of future skills.

She noted that the project undergoes continuous evaluation and development across its pillars and outputs, ensuring that it maintains its leadership and distinction. Her Excellency further explained that the new edition features specialized tracks focused on strengthening concepts of institutional governance, expanding the applications of artificial intelligence, and linking academic knowledge with practical application through modern training methodologies, in addition to consolidating partnerships with leading local and regional institutions.

Her Excellency expressed pride in the achievements realized by the National Project Lamea and in the talented Bahraini youth it has spotlighted, who have demonstrated competence and distinction across various fields. Since its launch in 2021, the program has attracted around 2,260 applicants through its first five editions, reflecting the project’s sustainable impact in preparing young leaders capable of contributing effectively to development and decision-making.

The National Project Lamea aims to identify elite young talents through precise merit-based selection mechanisms and develop their skills through advanced training programs that include real-world challenges aligned with future requirements. The project also seeks to showcase their capabilities and talents through distinctive opportunities, ensuring the continued contribution of high-performing national talent to the community.

Registration for the sixth edition of the National Project Lamea is open through Lamea Association’s official website from May 2 until May 17, offering applicants the opportunity to benefit from the program’s distinctive experience in preparing young leaders and enabling them to contribute across various fields of professional and national development.
