Seef District, Bahrain – The closing ceremony of the fourth edition of the National Project Lamea was held under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; H.E. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs; representatives of supporting organizations; and the program’s participants.

His Highness highlighted that Lamea graduates have become inspiring leaders for Bahrain’s youth, embodying perseverance and the ability to overcome challenges. He emphasized the graduates’ role in contributing to a more sustainable future for the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has made youth empowerment a national priority. His Highness commended participants for succeeding in challenges designed to test their capabilities and noted their contributions to national progress and their innovative approach to future challenges.

As part of the ceremony, His Highness honored program partners, including strategic partner Bapco Energies; platinum partners Al Salam Bank, Foulath Holding, and GFH Financial Group; gold partner SICO Bank; and knowledge partner Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

His Highness awarded graduates of the Lamea program and recognized the three top performers: Ahmed Almehza from Al Salam Bank, Ahmed Alawaadhi from the Ministry of Education, and Dr. Dhabya Alsada from the Primary Healthcare Centers.

The ceremony featured a speech by H.E. Sheikha Dwa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of Lamea Association, who outlined the program’s development in this edition. She noted that 542 applicants from 278 institutions took part, with 40 finalists selected after rigorous assessments. Shaikha Dwa added that the program was supported by 60 organizations and delivered 216 hours of training, incorporating artificial intelligence solutions to address real-world challenges for the first time.

She also highlighted a key milestone, the Nepal bootcamp in the Himalayas, where the top 12 qualifiers completed a high-altitude expedition that strengthened leadership, resilience, and adaptability in extreme conditions.
