Seef District, BahrainHis Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, pursues a strategic approach based on investing in young people, who are the true national wealth and builders of the future, which affirms that nations are not built on resources alone but on national talent capable of turning challenges into opportunities. His Highness also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in empowering Bahraini youth.

This came during His Highness’s patronage of the closing ceremony of the fifth edition of the National Project Lamea, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; H.E. Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; H.E. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs; representatives of supporting organizations; and a select group of young people from the Lamea program.

His Highness praised the high level demonstrated by the participants, commending their ability to navigate intricate stages and specific challenges designed to test intellect before skill and commitment before performance, affirming that their achievements reflect a commendable model of Bahraini youth capable of competing and making an impact.

His Highness noted that the program serves as a school of life that redefines the strength of Bahrain’s youth and as a model for preparing a generation capable of critical thinking, decision-making, and taking responsibility, within the framework of effective strategic partnerships that promote collective national action and achieve a sustainable impact.

The ceremony began with a speech by H.E. Shaikha Dwa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of Lamea Association, in which she affirmed that since its launch in 2021, Lamea has evolved from an idea into an integrated system for leadership development, noting the rapid growth in the number of applicants and the expansion of local and international partnerships, which strengthen the program’s regional and global standing.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa honored the strategic partners, Bapco Energies and Kuwait Finance House, and the knowledge partner, Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

The graduates of the fifth cohort were also honored, along with the winners, Taqi Abdulla from Bapco Energies and Ahmed Mubarak from the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait.

The fifth edition of Lamea saw exceptional demand, with over 1,000 applicants, and an acceptance rate of just under 2%, reflecting the high level of competition.
